Overview
Nenkin ("we", "our", "us") operates the NenkinTracker platform at tracker.nenkin.io and the marketing website at nenkin.io. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you choose to provide. We also collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and interactions with the platform to improve our services.
Product-usage events recorded by NenkinTracker itself (page and feature views, and the steps of the billing flow) are kept for up to 13 months and then deleted. When an account is deleted, these events are de-identified: the link to your account is removed and only the anonymous counts remain.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the NenkinTracker service
- Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, notifications)
- Improve the platform based on usage patterns
- Respond to support inquiries
Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Microsoft Azure in the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your information.
Third-party services
We use a small number of third-party processors to operate the service. Each is named below with the data they receive and the basis we rely on.
Stripe (payments)
Stripe processes subscription payments for paid NenkinTracker plans. When you subscribe, your payment information is handled directly by Stripe and is not stored on our servers. Refer to Stripe's privacy policy for details.
Google Analytics 4 (analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages help visitors most. Until you accept analytics cookies via the cookie banner, no analytics cookies are placed on your device. When you accept, Google receives standard web-analytics signals (page URL, referrer, browser user-agent, screen resolution, an anonymised IP, a randomly-assigned client identifier) and may store cookies on your device for up to 2 years. We anonymise IP addresses where Google supports it. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Ads (advertising)
We advertise NenkinTracker and our consultancy services through Google Ads. When you click one of our ads and visit nenkin.io or tracker.nenkin.io, Google receives standard ad-conversion signals (the click identifier, the page URL you landed on, and whether you later completed a tracked action such as signing up or contacting us). Advertising and personalisation cookies are only set after you accept them via the cookie banner. If you decline, no advertising cookies are placed on your device, but Google may still receive aggregated, modelled signals so the campaign can be measured. We rely on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) for advertising cookies, and on our legitimate interest in measuring campaign performance (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) for the aggregated, modelled signals. Cookies and consent
Our cookie banner is the primary control over analytics and advertising cookies. We use Google's Consent Mode v2: until you make a choice, consent for analytics and advertising storage defaults to denied, and no analytics or advertising cookies are placed on your device. Decline, and they remain off; accept, and they are loaded for the duration of your session and persisted across visits per the retention windows above.
You can revoke consent at any time by clearing the
nenkin-gtag-consent entry in your browser's local storage
(the next page load will re-show the banner). On a fresh consent
decision, previously set analytics or advertising cookies are retained
until they expire naturally. To remove them immediately, clear cookies
for nenkin.io and tracker.nenkin.io in your browser settings.
